Despite taking 100’s of snaps with my new (ish) camera phone I don’t seem to have much in the way of full bloom colour, rainbows, flowers, clowns, carnivals, hot air balloons or other assorted chunky colour filled shots. At least not this summer. So I’ve dug up a few photos I took waaaay back in good old 2006!
The blue flowers and gorgeous tomatoes were on Cambridge market. The green bamboo shot was taken outside just after it had rained. I couldn’t decide which one to use so there are three to make you smile!
The quality of the pics isn’t that great, I think they were taken with a Sony Ericsson camera phone, which I have a feeling was the one I dropped in the toilet by mistake. Didn’t work for much longer after that, strange.
Awesome!!!!
Awesome pictures..the way you aligned the shades of monochromes to depict the theme
Oh !γthis post is truly colorful.
Excellent idea !
Love the color! Vibrant and fresh!
Beautiful! I like the blue color best. I find it very soothing. Hmm… I wonder why that phone wasn’t working anymore..? π
Well after the bath incident I think the toilet fiasco was probably the end of the straw for that little phone!
Yeah, this is very beautiful and brightly colored!!!! I love that green leaves. Full of life!
Stunning Colors!
Thanks! Cambridge market is a wonderful place for colour, all the stalls seem to be battling for who is the most colourful!
Your photos are so sharp and the colours are wonderful.
My favourit one is the photo of the tomatoes. I love the colour of the blue photo.
The vegetable stalls on Cambridge market ooze with fresh veg, just as enticing as the noodle bar or burger hut!
Wow! Thanks for your comments folks! Every week I saw amazing photos on the photo challenge and I know my snaps from my camera phone hardly compare, but it’s nice that some of them can brighten someone’s day!
Those camera phones had quite a decent camera. I used mine one night to take some images of fireworks and they all came out quite good, there again I am biased I used to work for Ericsson
I had 4 Sony Ericsson’s and they all took great pics, and the flash wasn’t bad either. I’m surprised those pics taken 5 years ago still look half way decent.
I love the tomatoes..looks so fresh…nice post.
Thanks John! I remember the smell was powerful stuff too!
Beautiful shots! My personal fave is the blue flowers…such rich tones. Is this weekly photo challenge an organized thing? I see that both you and Redneck Princess do this.
Thanks HoaiPhai, yes the weekly photo challenge is organised by Word Press at their Daily Post blog http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2011/07/22/weekly-photo-challenge-colorful they have a new theme every Friday, and have interesting topics every day too.
Everone a symphony of a specific colour – very nice π Especially love that blue!
Thanks! Everyone seems to love that blue colour!
Whoa….the blue one is for real? Its so so so beautiful!
Yup! There hasn’t been any editing or Photoshop work done on any of them. Those flowers were just sat in a bucket at a florists on Cambridge Market. One camera phone and me.
Thank you for making me smile and go green with envy at the same time! The colours are absolutely beautiful both on their own and one after the other.
Thanks Patti! They work well like that. I didn’t really consider the fact that they were single colours, just that they looked bright and bold.
Beautiful colors!
Cheers Bren π a bit of vibrancy cheers the place up a bit!
Gorgeous color pallet! I could decorate a room around these.
I think the blue flowers would make a decent wall print, on canvas maybe.
The colors in the pictures are wonderful but I love love love the blue. So vivid. You need to have a camera with you at all times. You take beautiful pictures!
